@uofmfan - And I think it came down to Pujols and Howard and they went with the better numbers which I just dissagree with.

@uofmfan - I can say hes better because he's more valuable. I'm not the only one either, he finished 2nd place in the voting.

@uofmfan - My argument from the beginning has been that its about more than stats. To say he's not MVP material is just absurd.

@uofmfan - I think because Howard was MOST valuable on his team, and the league. Although Chase and Jimmy were extremely valuable

@uofmfan - Therefore, a truly VALUABLE player makes the players around him better. Pujols didn't get his team to the PostSeason. Not his fault, but...

@uofmfan - A great hitter, affects the way you pitch to a lineup, giving other hitters a chance to succeed when pitchers avoid the big bat (Howard)

@uofmfan - QBs dont throw at great CB's so they don't get great INT numbers, same with double coverage on great WRs getting less catches

@uofmfan - Howard makes that offense run. Same is true of Manny. Look at how it affected Ortiz who put up better numbers, but w.out the fear its gone.

@uofmfan - I don't think you should get an argument this year. It's like a good CB or WR, even wen they don't put up great numbers they're still there

@uofmfan - I completely disagree. That enhances his MVP status in my mind. He's CLEARLY the mvp of a team full of potential MVPs
