There have been rumors that Braves' Manager Bobby Cox could end up retiring at the end of the season               

@chopblock - McCann's the man offensively. Defensively, he still could use some work, but especially at 24, he is serviceable               

The Braves have 2 solo homeruns in the top of the 5th - McCann and Prado - and there are no outs - the Braves actually look good against the Nationals

@Mr Bickle - Glavine has to be done and Smoltz probably isn't much behind. Hampton was done a few years back!               

They have 4 solid pitchers Smoltz, Glavine, Hudson, and Hampton who are all injured. Besides Hudson the other 3 might even be done.               

The Braves are now 16 games out of first in the East and have been shutout three times in the month of August. One of the toughest years for Bobby Cox               

To say the Braves are struggling is an understatement. They were beat by the Cards 18-3 Friday night, are 6-15 in August, and have lost 6 straight.               

St. Louis put up 18 runs with only 5 extra base hits, all of which were doubles.               

Charlie Morton is out after 1.1 giving up 4 runs in the 2nd including 5 walks.
